Scot Macdonald\u00a0wrote\u00a0Deadly Dance: The Chippendales Murders,\u00a0<\/em>which inspired the Hulu\/20th Century TV limited series,\u00a0Welcome to Chippendales\u00a0<\/em>(2022-23). The book has been translated into Spanish and also released by Hachette India on the subcontinent. He has written 10 books, including five novels. His writing has also appeared in many newspapers and a range of magazines, including the LA Sentinel,\u00a0<\/em>Writers\u2019 Journal<\/em>, US Naval Institute Proceedings, US Marine Corps Gazette, Animal Wellness,<\/em>\u00a0Desire Health,<\/em> and the Writers’ Journal.<\/em>\u00a0He also published the short story, “In Pursuit of Perfection.”<\/p>\n

Scot’s father was a sportswriter in the 1960s and Scot has an avid interest in sports, but especially the Chicago Bears. He is an 8-handicap golfer.<\/p>\n

On his quest to become a novelist by learning a little about a lot of things, he earned a bachelors degree in psychology and history from the University of British Columbia, a masters degree in journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno, and a masters and doctorate in international relations from the University of Southern California (USC). He was an adjunct professor in the School of International Relations at USC. He also has taken screenwriting courses at the University of California, Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, Scot lives in the Los Angeles area with his wife, daughter and two spoiled dogs.<\/p>\n
